Promoting world-class excellence and chievement through The Queen's Anniversary Prizes for Higher and Further Education

On 18 February 2010, the evening before the Buckingham Palace presentations, the Trust held a national banquet at Guildhall in the City of London to celebrate the achievements of the Prize-winning institutions. Music was provided by students from The Royal College of Music ("Exhibition Brass") and Trinity Laban College ("Trinity Jazz Ensemble"), and by pipers from The London Regiment. Fanfares were played by state trumpeters from The Band of The Blues and Royals. The Scots Guards provided an escort detachment. Hospitality students from further education colleges and from Thames Valley University assisted with the presentation of the event. Professor Richard C. Levin, President of Yale University and Professor Sir Graeme Davies, Vice-Chancellor of the University of London.were the guest speakers.
